Just three months after breaking a 29-year drought and bringing the Grey Cup back to Manitoba, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers will be in Brandon in three weeksâ time to share one of North American professional sportsâ oldest trophies with Westman fans as part of a four-day local stop in the Manitoba Grey Cup Tour.
The Blue Bombers have shared that the trophy will be appearing at Princess Auto on the afternoon of Friday, February 21st. Shoppers Mall Brandon has since announced that it will play host to the Blue Bombersâ popup store for three days from Friday, February 21st to Sunday, February 23rd near the Mall Food Court. The store is to offer an assortment of merchandise during normal mall hours on those days from a space between Jersey City and Eclipse.
In addition to the store, the Grey Cup itself will be on hand at the Mall for parts of Saturday and Sunday for both viewing and photos:
The Grey Cup is scheduled to be in Brandon from February 20th to 23rd. Full details on plans for the four days are still emerging, however in addition to the stops at Princess Auto and Shoppers Mall it is known that the trophy will on the 21st feature at that evening's Brandon Wheat King game as part of the clubâs Blue Bomber night promotion.
Brandon will be the 13th and final stop on the Manitoba Grey Cup Tour, which began on January 17th in Kenora, ON. More details on the Tour can be learned at this link
