Westman Naturalists - Botany and Butterflies
Sunday, July 5 (In 17 days) 8:00am Recreation
Join us at a saline damp meadow near the Griswold marsh, west of Brandon. Explore a beautiful range of native flowers and grasses, together with butterflies. This is an early morning outing, starting at 8am at the site. There will be an option to check for birds at Griswold marsh following our botanizing.
We will be exploring a wild meadow, it is fairly flat with a few uneven and damp areas. You can choose how far you walk, from 100m to about 1.5km. Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear and bring water and snacks/lunch. A lawn chair may also come in handy. Don?t forget insect repellent as there will be the usual ticks and mosquitoes.
