MACHINIST (RED SEAL)
Responsibilities include:
? Ability to read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings.
? Install, align, dismantle and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.
? Operate hoisting and lifting devices to position machinery and parts during the installation, setup and repair of machinery.
? Inspect and examine equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions
? Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts.
? Operate machine tools such as lathes and mills to fabricate parts/tools/fixtures required during overhaul, maintenance or set up of machinery.
? Perform other routine preventative maintenance on machinery
? Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation
? Work with preventative maintenance programs and keep proper maintenance records
? Ability to work 8-hour shifts, five days a week on a two-week shift rotation, with optional overtime
RED SEAL is required.
