MSP Starch Products Inc in Carberry, Manitoba is currently looking to fill a relief production operator / truck driver position. This is a full-time position, with four 10-hour day shifts. Normal working hours for the position are 8:30 am ? 7:00 pm, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. This is a flexible, backup, support position, and based on the operational needs of the company, you will be required to alter your shift on occasion, including working late and on weekends.

The successful candidate will possess:

• a valid Manitoba Class 1 license with air, with 2+ years experience and a clean driver?s abstract
• extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
• 1+ years? experience in a food manufacturing environment
• forklift experience would be considered an asset
• the ability to work alone as required
• the ability to lift and carry up to 25kgs, walk and stand on concrete for long periods of time (with breaks), and be comfortable with heights
• the ability to work in varying temperatures
• the ability to consistently maintain a clean work area
• a strong work ethic with the ability to maintain an excellent attendance record
• strong problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
• a positive, collaborative attitude and approach to work
• strong computer skills
• mechanical aptitude

This position is required to follow both the Truck Driver and Production Operator job descriptions. Some of the Primary Duties of those roles include:

• Safe operation of highway tractor / trailer units to pick up raw material at suppliers
• Perform pre-trip, route, and post-trip inspections
• Operate a forklift for material movement in the factory and between buildings
• Understand and adhere to all GMP and HACCP policies
• Support the shipping team by moving product between buildings
• Work in all areas of the production process
