About the Role
The Keystone Potato Producers Association (KPPA) is the voice of Manitoba's process potato
industry. We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented professional to manage the
Association's financial records and support the efficient day-to-day operation of the office. The
Office Manager serves as the Association's central administrative and financial resource,
ensuring efficient day to day operation of the office while supporting member services,
communications, meetings, financial administration and industry events.
Key Responsibilities
? Bookkeeping & Finance: full-cycle bookkeeping in QuickBooks, process invoices,
expense reports, bank reconciliations, and GST remittances; monthly close and year-end
preparation for the external auditor. Assist with budgeting and maintain accurate,
complete financial records.
? Office Administration & Member Services: reception, maintaining office files and
electronic document management systems. Support data collection and reporting
activities. Administer the federal Advance Payment Program. Manage calendars,
appointments and travel arrangements. Coordinate membership renewals and maintain
accurate records.
? Meetings & Events: Organize Board and grower meetings, including scheduling, agendas,
meeting materials, and minute taking. Assist in the planning and delivery of conferences,
annual meetings, and industry events. Coordinate registrations and event logistics.
? Communications & Reporting: Assist in preparing newsletters, reports, presentations,
and promotional materials. Support communications with government, industry partners,
and stakeholders. Update association website.
Qualifications
? Diploma or certificate in accounting, bookkeeping, or office/business administration, or
equivalent experience.
? 2+ years of combined bookkeeping and administrative experience, including full-cycle
AP/AR and GST remittances.
? Proficiency in QuickBooks (or comparable software) and Microsoft Office.
? Excellent organization and time-management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to
manage multiple deadlines independently.
? Professionalism and discretion with confidential information.
? Self motivated and able to work independently
? Event coordination experience and an interest in agriculture are assets.What We Offer
