    My coworkers usually go to rivers and oak lake but know what parts are usually kept pretty quiet and haven’t heard of any ice thicknesses yet

    I haven’t heard of ice thickness but I also don’t take what other people say. Only way to be 100% sure is to go yourself

    There are people already fishing for trout at Patterson. Anton's had people fishing already. Saw someone with a Walleye on Oak Lake. The ice is thick enough to walk on, not to drive. And with anything testing new waters, drill a test hole as you go.

    My bad Fish Guy, I thought the post said drive on. Walking is fine but I wouldn't take a vehicle on. Father in law was on Pelican Lake and he said it was about 4 - 5" of ice as of Saturday morning.
