They now have less than a week to reduce their number of 20 year olds down to 3. Originally, I would of assumed that Harrison would simply be released once McGauley came back. However, he was playing REALLY well on a line with Kaspick and Coulter. IMO, he likely has KM considering many more options than just releasing him - he is now trade bait, or could have earned himself a spot on the WK.  
 
I noticed at least 3 scouts from the Oil Kings in attendance on Friday. I'm wondering if something big might happen in terms of a trade with them - it is odd that 3 scouts from one team would be in the building.  
 
My personal preference would be to trade Waltz for an 18 or 19 year old stay at home defenceman. Then go with McGauley, Erkamps and Harrison as our 20's.

I thought Harrison played very well too. I also notice Kylington has played 9 games now, so maybe Kelly is waiting to see if we get him and then Waltz would be the one to go. I guess watch this space. Be very exciting if we could get Kylington.

Was wondering does the AHL flames have to make a move by a certain date on Oliver Kylington weather he stays or gets sent down?

If a junior player is returned to the CHL before he plays 10 games in the NHL (or AHL) in a given season, the year does not count towards the player's entry-level contract and the contract itself does not count towards the team's 50-contract limit. The team has to make a decision to keep or return him before game 10 starts.

As much as we would love to see Kylington come here, I just don't see it happening. However, we can hope!  

Harrison has been traded to PG for a 9th round pick. According to Luber's twitter feed.

I don't know much about Thomson, however, his stats indicate that he is likely a stay at home type guy? I'm hoping that Shearer keeps his spot in the lineup with this addition.

Looks like we likely won't be getting Oliver Kylinton as he played his 10 th game with the Stockton Heat. So his contract kicked in so there is no real reason for them to send him down.  
Was also wondering is Crim making this team a Manitoba team? Meaning it seems to be that all he picks up via trades and drafts is Manitoban's surely there are players available that may or not be better that come from else where

Need something, from what I seen the last 3-4 games, this team is not going to anywhere. You can't be a top team when your power play is unseen, as is the penalty kill, no one even in top ten in scoring, and I have to say the goaltending is weak. Maybe start selling.  

Do some trading and start with Papirny! Why would defence work their butts off to defend a goalie who doesn't know where the puck is 3/4 of the time. This is no gold rush team , it looks more like a rebuilding team that may do something in a couple of years if Kelly puts the brakes on trading the good for more mediocre players who are so inconsistent and do not show up to play every night like their career depends on it. If this keeps up they will be lucky to make it through the 1st round of playoffs never mind the Memorial Cup!

I have the perfect solution to the problem. We should take our player of the month with a stellar record, better save percentage, better goals against average, and bench him..... oh wait, they're already doing that. My bad. I can't believe that's not working
