It did seem a little awkward.

As the only living person in Brandon with jerseys from all three of his teams, I have to admit that it kind of seemed rushed. While all parties involved are saying that they buried the hatchet, I can't help but feel that there will always be some deep seeded feelings of resentment between Favre and management. Such is the way with professional sports though. Legends age, and always feel they have something left in the tank (Manning, Montana),but unfortunately, the game changes, new schemes don't always work, and talent diminishes. In the end, management's feel the pressure of trying to support the former hero, and build for the future at the same time. It wasn't easy with Brett retiring/not retiring.
I suppose if Bart Starr had also not been there after suffering several medical problems, and the Packers had a sizeable lead against the Bears, there would have been a lot more attention on Brett though.
