I have found the service/attitudes at Oak Island much better lately than when they first opened. My first time there one of our group commented that their green fees were expensive, the guy at the counter said "What do you expect for the nicest course in Manitoba?" They acted like they were doing you a favour letting you play their course. As I said its been alot better lately. " |

Gotta agree with the first half of your post. Shilo is always in top condition and I would say is as good as any 18 in Westman.
Don't get me wrong I like Oak Island enough, although I rarely play it (haven't since 2015). I think they should start on the north 9 rather than the south, it makes more sense to me to do that. And no matter what it seems you'll always find the first par 5 on the front and the back (the 2 that run along the water) are in rough shape.
