If they are late to the game I treat them as such. At a 4 way I yield if they arrived first or at the same time. If the pedestrian is wandering up or approaching the intersection, I rarely wait until they arrive.
No special treatment needed unless the weather is crappy etc. Pedestrians are not stupid. They know when they arrived second or a car first.
