lake or pond fishing near brandon

Hear alot of people mentioning the bigger rivers and lakes around brandon. Souris, oak lake, clear lake, and assinaboine. But where are the smaller ponds i can catch some small bass and what not? Closest to brandon as possible. Just looking for new spots to try out different techniques

Lots of small lakes south of town

Turtle mountains...Max, George, Adam. Plus others I can’t remember. Not sure what kind of fish they have.

As kids we used to fish a little gravel pond just SE of the intersection of 17th street and Richmond Junction. That was a lifetime ago but I think its still there. City Property or Koch Fertilizer? Anyway, we used to get our fair share of Rock Bass. Its an odd place for them but someone must have put them there years ago. Bobber and worms, non stop action...Can't get closer than that!

I meant 17th Street East, it looks like a bunch of gravel pits but there is one pond that's close to an acre and deep.

Checked the place out and it had a locked gate. How far in there was the pond? Seems to be a fair amount of construction. Anyway couldnt find it

Lake Percy and Willow Creek

Lake Percy, just off of Grand valley road by the research station. I think has some fish in it. I know some pike got in there during flood times.

Willow Creek, on the low road to shilo (there is a sign). It has a nice little bend in the river and there are park benches to sit on, really nice in there. Gold eye, some walleye, pike, etc.
