Is there any bylaws on over watering?

Just want to see if anyone know if there is any bylaws in Brandon to do with over water your yard? what I can see on the city of Brandon is not very clear. My issue is that my neighbor waters his yard 12hrs a day, 7 days a week even if it is poring rain outside. He also love to spray it over the fence onto my yard and then act like he isn't doing it or he will put the sprinkler on my property as he does not want to kill his grass with it, So you ask him to take it off and he take it off till you go inside and then moves it back.

I'm glad I'm not your neighbor.
Your neighbor can water their grass as much as they like. If it's city water they're paying for it if it's a sand point they're paying for the hydro to run the pump

It’s a bonus for your grass! That moisture in the ground beside your yard should be a benefit… free of charge!

this person has flowers, too much water will harm them. It's their business, not anyone elses to judge. Just saying.
To the OP, call the bylaw officer and ask your question.

I don't have an answer on if there's a bylaw that puts boundaries on that sort of thing. They obviously love their lawn which is their prerogative as much as that sounds like more watering than anyone I've known with a golf green lawn has needed to do.
If they’re coming onto your property and placing the sprinkler when asked not to I could see that being a problem and you’re not being unreasonable to ask them not to.
Can you elaborate on how this is effecting you or your property? Is it a wood fence on your property that you’d have a concern over the fence rotting with that much water constantly hitting it? Are there plants you grow in the ‘spray zone’ that are more sensitive to over watering than grass? Does water accumulate on your property in a way that could be a slipping hazard for you or others? If it's any of the above have you made sure they know it's having that impact?

It never hurts to call to find out. But I suspect that the answer will likely be something like, "It's civil matter between you and your neighbour to sort out."

unless there is a water usage restriction order, you can use as much water as you want.
