What was your experience in regards to comfort and longevity?  
I’m looking at the Cocoon by Sealy plush at the moment

Love my memory foam bed. I’ll NEVER go back to anything

Bed do you have? Where did you purchase it from and how long ago?  
Also, are you a single sleeper or do you sleep with a partner?  
 
I’m worried about buying the thing and then getting stuck with it. Mattress sets are ridiculously expensive.

Memory foam as a surface material not great. Very comfortable but HOT. Newer materials available that still provide a top comfort foam mattress without the heat. We were fortunate to get one from Sears before it crashed and wouldn’t trade it for a spring mattress. 14” thick and it can be lifted with one hand. Please check customer reviews online before shopping Sleep Country. Customer service TERRIBLE. Warranty worthless. They do not deal with warranty in store. You have to deal with head office in Ontario. Just read their reviews. Just thought I’d toss that in so you don’t make the mistake we did.

Memory foam gets Alzheimer's! It's funny they call it memory foam because after a while it creates permanent impressions under your weight and never comes back to where it was when new. Feels like you're laying in a trough. I tried sleeping more in the middle of the mattress (king size) but the memory foam is not over the whole surface, only two strips where you would typically lay on both sides. And this was a fairly expensive mattress. Tried to get warranty once from Sleep Country. Had to jump through a bunch of hoops. Had to lay a straight edge across the mattress to measure the visible depression but the problem was there was a layer of fluffier quilting on the top layer that hid the depression. Had this happen with two mattresses. The second mattress I told the salesman of our problems and he claimed THEIR mattresses were better but it wasn't. We ended up searching for a mattress without memory foam and could only find one at Ikea. The mattress industry is very crooked. It's really hard to compare from store to store because the same mattress has a different name at different stores. Their. That's my mattress rant, lol.  
 
 
Interesting aside. We have a 30-40 year old double in a spare room. We got it from parents that downsized. It feels as good as the day it was bought. Like everything these days anything you buy now has built in obsolescence.  
 
We also have a water bed in one of the spare rooms that I swear is the most comfortable thing I ever slept on. Got the original bed when we were first married in the 80's and have just continually replaced the mattress when needed.

That’s the reason I purchased a 3 inch memory foam from Costco. Fits nicely on my mattress. I purchase the deep pockets sheets, works very well. I didn’t need to get a new mattress. Love it

That's a good idea Grace. We bought a topper like that for the camper rather than replace a firm mattress. If you find the memory foam is hot you can top it with a mattress pad too.

We bought two mattresses from them. Had awesome service, great deals (always haggle with them), very knowledgeable salesman.  
 
They even deliver on Sunday's which is great.

It soft and wonderful. I have back problems and my husband has shoulder problems. He never use to sleep in bed and now he does every night  
 
It keeps cool in the summer and warmer in the winter but not hot!  
 
I had such a good experience at Sleep Country. It was awesome and it’s 12 monthly payments with no interest

A Coocon bed by Searly.... I hate it and it needs to go back. However once they talked us into buying a new mattress pad to protect our 90 day sleep tight warranty, they are now telling us that we need to wait 21 days.  
No one... and I mean No one told us this gem when they happily took my money. So this bed will be wrapped in plastic and stored in our spare room and the old mattress will be put back on our bed.  
 
Part of the reason we bought this mattress is because we have a process to get a bed upstairs. As in, we have to take the stairs out of our older home to get it upstairs to the master bedroom. So what we bought comes in a box and inflates after in packaging.  
I want to swap it out but now we learn about this 21 day thing. Like I don’t think it should matter whether it’s 2 days or 21 if the customer isn’t happy... which I’m not, kinda pissed actually, they should be honouring this guarantee.  
I called wanting the other bed on our list as it’s on sale only until Wednesday and this is the story I got.  
It’s too bad as I waited 12 years to buy a new bed and now I’m dealing with this. And I’m bloody TIRED!!

Further to last. We had the same experience as biggie with the straight edge indent measure etc. Hopeless to try and get warranty. They told us from head office we voided our warranty because we didn’t have slats under our box spring. Two other furniture stores in Brandon told us that’s completely bogus.  
I repeat. Before you buy, go online and ask for Sleep Country customer service reviews. Happy for the folks that have had good luck. Us not so much. Horror story start to finish.

Memory foam is a warranty nightmare!!  
Sagging, dips, too hot, lots of complaints  
If you or your partner weigh over 250lbs expect the foam to wear out after 1-3 years. Causing permanent ruts  
In all my years of experience the beds with the best longevity and fewest complaints. Are individual pocket coil beds. Simmons Beautyrest comes to mind . But other manufacturers have them as well  
When it comes to warranty, the big manufacturers have 10 year warranty. But the bed has to be in clean. And all tags in place  
The most important thing to remember about beds “you get what you pay for”  
If you only pay $300 expect to replace it in 3-4 years. Fewer coils, less foam, cheaper materials  
Look at beds around $1000 minimum  
Beds go on sale all the time the retail markup is very high, from 30-40%  
So look for sales offering 50-60% off  
You can get a $2000 bed for $950  
Or wait for year end clearance sales

We bought our memory foam mattress from Sleep Country and have had no issues. We have had it now for about 4 years and there are no dents or warps to the mattress at all. Our mattress is memory foam but is a firm style. Perhaps that is why we have no issues with it warping. We also don't find the mattress too hot either. Find it just the same as our old bed.  
I believe you get what you pay for. Watch for sales to try and get a higher end bed. Do your homework and check on reviews of the mattress you are looking into. I don't think that one mattress fits all. Find the one that feels right to you and is good quality. Good luck!

I bought a memory foam mattress from Sleep Country last June. The associate there was great and price matched, even threw in a free pillow. Although it is very comfortable, it is hella hot!!!! I’m already a sweaty swamp dweller at night, but this adds an extra ring of hellish fire. After padding it with two thick comforters under the mattress protector, it’s bearable in -5°-ish temperatures and up but I have to sleep on my back and not on my side. Also, I have to practically climb up to get into bed and feel like the Princess and the Pea. What I ever get another memory foam mattress? No, never! What I really wanted was a pillowtop but I couldn’t beat the price. Next time I will get what I want despite having to pay more

I got a memory foam topper to help with the pain of fibromyalgia. I can't remember the brand name but there are memory foams for sale now that have "something" added to make them cooler. The good thing about a topper is that if ruts do form, you can give the topper for the dog or cat to lie on & buy yourself a new topper!

I'm not sure if memory foam pillows are any comparison to a memory foam mattress but I tried out a couple different memory foam pillows recently and couldn't stand them whatsoever, yeah they were cool for the first 5 minutes but after that I found my head was stuck in a molded hotbox lol  
 
I had a bad experience once with a hotel memory foam mattress, I kept waking up absolutely drenched in sweat, that experience really soured me on them.

We got a king-size Bloom mattress from Sleep Country, and have had it for 3 or so years with no problems. We have it on top of 2 twin box springs, side by side, and actually 2 twin mattresses (because that's what we were sleeping on before and wanted a 'very tall bed' with no indent down the middle). So maybe the extra firm padding underneath helps it not warp or indent. We are both under 200lbs. We don't find it hot, and do find it really comfortable. A waterproof mattress cover is a really good idea: those Tencel ones are worth their weight in gold, just make sure not to set the washer too hot, and the dryer needs to go on 'low heat'.

I have had an Endy mattress for about a year and absolutely love it. I literally sleep more soundly and comfortably than ever before and don't find it hot. My husband likes it too. We have had super expensive mattresses in the past and the Endy has been way better than anything else.
