Can anyone that has had a baby in Brandon in the last week or so, please provide some feedback on their experience? Is the father or support person allowed to leave and come back, or must they stay for the whole duration? Are they trying to get mothers and babies released quicker than usual? Any other feedback for an expectant mother?

My daughter had a baby 7 days ago, no one was allowed to visit. Her husband was able to come and go. Skip the dishes came straight to their hospital room door. Not sure how much has changed in 7 days though. Hope that helps.

Anymore updates on this? Due to give birth anytime now, and would like to know what to expect when we go in. Dr hasn’t been much help unfortunately.

You might want to call the hospital and ask to speak to someone on single room maternity, and they can fill you in, or contact the Public Health Nurse for your area to get the lowdown from them.

I asked my doctor this late last week and he told me that you are allowed one support person and they can not leave and come back. They either have to stay with you or once they leave they wont get back in. I forgot to ask about the food situation though for the support person WE have a lot of snacks packed for that reason. They also must be completely healthy or they wont be allowed in. As far as if they are getting people out faster i am only hoping so... I don't want to spend much time there.
