Also a heads up that I will be stopping these daily thread posts here and referring to ongoing data posted by the Province of Manitoba as well as ongoing stories in the media... especially the fine local coverage that the Brandon Sun is providing in front of their paywall on an ongoing basis.

Daily releases are generally posted around 1pm.
You can find Brandon-specific data by going to the dashboard data page through the above link, choosing Prairie Mountain Health and choosing "Cases by District of Residence."

Though we appear to be in a good place at the moment as far as the virus, please continue to be vigilant and continue to follow advice from health authorities that has helped us minimize the effect of the virus on this community to-date. Covid-19 has more than proven what it can do if we don't!

Lots of feedback on stats going forward, thanks so much. I’ve decided I’ll post the Brandon numbers daily and forego the daily demographic/age breakdown. Seems like a happy medium to get a handle on time commitment but still play my part of getting out the most important number that a lot of folks it sounds like will still be looking for for some time going forward!

Further to the significant amount of cases in Turtle Mountain, from Thursday’s media bulletin above:
“ An outbreak has been declared at Boissevain Health Centre and Evergreen Place Personal Care Home in Boissevain”
The topic of cases at Boissevain school was brought up at yesterday’s media briefing as per below, with no details available:
Roussin has no details on 10 cases of the virus at Boissevain School.

The cases are mentioned on the province's Data portal as coming in the "two weeks prior to April 7." The same map shows Melita school as having one case:

The same data portal says that "there are currently no declared outbreaks," so no details on the Boissevain outbreak from that source at this time.
From story in Friday's Brandon Sun, Dr. Roussin stated that there are two cases related to the outbreak and neither involves patients or residents. One active, one recovered:

Though not necessarily all specific to Boissevain without further information, it is stated on the Covid dashboard that there are 29 active cases in the Turtle Mountain district within Prairie Mountain Health. A local perspective on data released alongside today’s update is below:

BRANDON:
Active cases on dashboard: 6 (-1)
Deaths: 22 (no change)

Brandon has now reached 1000 or recoveries. With that threshold reached, the data on the dashboard is no longer showing a specific number… only “1k.” For that reason I’m not able to tabulate the total number of Brandon cases in order to do a day-to-day comparison. The only comparison possible from what I can tell are on Active Cases and Deaths, which unfortunately doesnt give an accurate day-to-day look on new case count. I will email provincial communications to ensure that there isnt some other way to obtain this data since I’ve personally found it very valuable and have gotten quite a bit of feedback that I’m not alone.

In today's bulletin, it is mentioned that an outbreak has been declared at Boissevain School. On the provincial outbreaks page it is now showing this outbreak, with 13 cases. Two of those are in staff, 11 in non-staff:

Good news... I've been pointed to Brandon exact data that is in fact available elsewhere from the province.

So today's Brandon data would show as:
