January 31 provincial update

A local perspective on data released alongside today’s update is below.
BRANDON:
Total cases on dashboard: 964 (+1)
Active cases on dashboard: 43 (-8)
Recoveries on dashboard: 900 (+9)
Deaths: 21 (no change)
PRAIRIE MOUNTAIN HEALTH REGION:
Reported new cases: 2
Total cases on dashboard: 1977 (-1)
Active cases on dashboard: 176 (-24)
Recoveries on dashboard: 1750 (+23)
Deaths: 51 (no change)
Active Hospitalizations: 5 (-3)
ICU Active patients: 2 (no change)
Compared to yesterday’s update, these are the differences in PMH case breakdown by age group in differentiating provincial data released yesterday vs today:
50-59: +1 female, +1 male
40-49: -1 female
30-39: -1 female
20-29: +1 female
0-9: -1 female, -1 male. Of note, this reduced the +13 increase in this age range to +11 over the past three days.
In Manitoba as a whole, the province is reporting 119 new cases of COVID-19 and a five day test positivity rate of 7.9% in Manitoba.
With this being the last update for the month of January, the total Brandon case count increased by 110 cases on the month. This compares to 258 in December and 176 in November.
In January, the PMH case count increased by 424 cases on the month. This compares to 530 in December and 422 in November.
