Abbysmum said "In other words, you're looking for a doctor who's a disciple of veganism and will promote it to the detriment of other available treatments. A few of the names on your list I recognize, and the few I googled all seemed to be in line with that based on the (profitable) books they sell.
You won't find too many of those, as that is an extreme view not espoused by the medical community at large. There are, however, many good doctors out there who take a relatively holistic approach to medicine who might be able to help you with your health concerns. It took 10 years for me to find a good doctor that's finally addressing my health concerns and referring me to the right people and prescribing the right medication. I feel better than I have in years. "
No not neglect medicine and medical treatment not promote to the detriment of other treatments but really look at the origin of the diseases I mention at hand which very often are due to lifestyle choices and detrimental foods over time. Diabetes heart disease, high blood pressure often play hand-in-hand and they are all related to the poor artery function due to atherosclerosis related to poor lifestyle often due to foods drinks and certainly stress.
Modern day medicine is heavy medication management, prescribing meds to suppress the undesired symptoms which inevitably becomes someone on meds for life for high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease, All of which originated with food and all of which can be treated with long term dietary changes and potentially eliminated overtime
There is a difference between veganism and whole food plant-based eating. The doctors I listed are all medical doctors and cardiac doctors who over the course of their career grew tired of prescribing medications, ie insulin lowering meds, insulins, lipid lowering meds, several meds to alleviate all the symptoms caused by high blood pressure etc and not seeing their patients get better.
