September 17 provincial update

The Province has done Friday’s Covid data update. A local perspective on data released today is below:
BRANDON:
Total cases on dashboard: 1528 (+4)
Active cases on dashboard: 24 (+4)
Recoveries on dashboard: 1480 (no change)
Deaths: 24 (no change)
24 active cases represents Brandon’s highest total in more than three months (June 13, 26). This makes it an increase of 23 cases over the past ten days when Brandon had one active case on September 7.
PRAIRIE MOUNTAIN HEALTH REGION:
Total cases on dashboard: 4161 (+14)
Active cases on dashboard: 71 (+12)
Recoveries on dashboard: 4008 (+2)
Deaths: 82 (no change)
Active Hospitalizations: 4 (+1)
ICU Active patients: 0 (no change)
In terms of districts within PMH, Brandon has the most active cases with 24 (+4) followed by Duck Mountain at 14 (+4) and Agassiz Mountain at six (no change).
By age and gender, the breakdown in cases versus prev update is as follows:
70-79: +1 male
50-59: +2 female, +1 male
40-49: +1 female, +1 male
30-39: -1 female, +1 male
10-19: +2 female, +1 male
0-9: +1 female, +3 male
PMH has now had an increase of 71 cases or 63 active cases since September 7. This is the breakdown in new cases since that date:
90-99: +1 female
80-89: +1 female, +1 male
70-79: +1 female, +3 male
60-69: +5 female, +1 male
50-59: +6 female, +6 male
40-49: +1 female, +4 male
30-39: +3 female, +6 male
20-29: +9 female, +6 male
10-19: +3 female, +5 male
0-9: 1+3 female, +7 male
Vaccine data shows that 84.1% of the population age 12 and over (+0.1% vs last update) have now received at least one vaccine dose and 79.2% have received a second dose (+0.2% vs last update). Prairie Mountain Health is showing as having a vaccine uptake rate of 78.6% (+0.1% vs last update).
The Brandon district is showing at 83.1% uptake rate in people age 12 and over (+0.1% vs last update).
In Manitoba, data shows that of our 88 new cases today 74% are in those who are not fully vaccinated. 95% of active hospitalizations are in those not yet fully vaccinated including all who are currently in ICU.
