GREENman said "Why is it everyone was screaming out to follow the guidelines and listen to health officials and such but then once they start admitting they made a mistake everyone screams out that the same people who they put all their stock in just moments ago are now not worth following or they throw shade at them etc… seems hypocritical to say we have to listen to these people then once it doesn’t fit your narrative you cry that you shouldn’t? Hard to tell where the echo chamber ends here and rational thought begins when your flip flopping like that. Get your vaccine. Or dont. I don’t care what you do. "
Who’d said anyone admitted to making a mistake?
The reality here is that we have a new leader and she is selfish. She is not listening to the medical sector at all. Doctors and medical staff are crying for lockdowns and she does not want that, so she has the final say and there’s nothing anyone can do about it.
Unfortunately, someone will suffer no matter the decisions made, but opting for the least suffering would be the smart thing to so. Impose widespread lockdown measures, but without closing out every sector completely. Keep kids on school, reduce strain on our medical system and allow people to have access to other medical care besides only COVID right now.
Take a close look at what is necessary. Here are some basic examples if you can’t seem to make choices that are for the greater good and not just yourself. Kids need to be in school, but people do not need to dine in to support a restaurant. So close dining rooms to reduce spread and keep kids in school. People need access to medical care, but you don’t need to attend a sports game or a church service in person. Make sure these events can be live streamed, close in person attendance or drastically reduce capacity, and there you have yet another way to reduce spread and take the stress off out hospitals.
Manitoba does not have the most stringent measures in place and it’s laughable when those words even come out of the premiers mouth. She is selfish. Next you’ll see masks go because she doesn’t like them. Pathetic.
You are totally right though, get vaccinated, or don’t, whatever, but for goodness sakes, stop and think about your own actions and how it could affect someone else. In the midst of the premiers blabbering the other day, Dr. Atwal was able to get a few words in and say this very thing. If you have 10 outings planned, reduce it to 2. Think about what is necessary. It’s not hard.
