If your dentist did not sign up for the plan . Do you look around for a dentist /denturist that has in Brandon ?

You can search here who has registered. It might be tough to get into any of these dentists though also few have been willing to sign up

As of July 8, 2024 dental offices no longer have to sign up for the Canadian Dental Care Plan. Call your dental office and ask if they are submitting claims to Sunlife for the CDCP...the list is no longer relevant.

Prior to July 8, 2024 the dental offices were required to sign a contract to be in the program. The government removed that requirement effective July 8, 2024.
So as long as your dental office will submit the claim for you then you can choose whichever dental office you prefer.

It will be interesting if they will submit for you. Even though my office submits for me, checks for pre-approval you have to pay yourself at the dentist and then get paid my insurance plan. I guess insurance takes too long to pay them so they make you pay, then have insurance pay you. I don't entirely blame them. And guessing the gov't funded plan won't be quick to pay them either.

So Mil went to dentist yesterday for small item. $50+ bill and she only had to pay just over $6 and the rest was covered. Dentist office submitted it for her. Glad it’s working now!!!

Make sure to discuss with dentist office what is covered and what is not. And what percentage or age is covered.

Not all dental procedures are covered.

So check before you go so you are not caught by surprised.
