I am just wondering if anyone else on here has ever called 911 and received a busy signal? Or do you know of someone that has had that happen to them?  
 
It happened to me this year and even though I was calling for someone else, I thought that I was going to have a stroke right then and there. I couldn't believe that I got a recording.  
 
I have watched shows (usually American TV) where this has happened but it never occurred to me that it would happen to me.  
 
It was an early evening on a Sunday which left me even more dumbfounded. I could even expect a recording on a weekend. As you can tell, I don't know how the emergency system / calls work really. All I ever thought was, in an emergency, call 911, get help.  
 
Experiences anyone? Or knowledge of how the system works?
