Oct 1st got bitten pretty badly by a dog that I took in to re home it was owner surrender! She lied pretty much about everything about the dog! I ended up with tendon damage and broken thumb at the base. But I waited 4 days to see a Dr. ended up in a half slab to swollen to cast and open sores. I didn't bother going for follow up!  
Oct. 27th got H1N1 shot 3 days later fever, throwing up swollen lymph nodes behind right ear day 5 ear is red, swollen, leaking clear fluid. Day 13 still sick can't sleep due to pain with having Dumbo ear finally see Dr #1 only to be told it is impetigo. Although it is NOT on my face,mouth,chin! Given meds. Well Day 14 got to my reg Dr. only he doesn't know keeps looking at me and looks in a medical book goes back and forth about 5 times. Gives meds tells me he is not sure what it is. I took the meds until Day 15 I hit the wall really hard after tripping over a toy. Right ring finger is so sore I am almost crying in pain but I sucked it up. Day 17 went to hospital only to be told to go across the street. Saw Dr. #3 w/husband (he forced me to go) there I lifted up my hair and her reaction was like OMG R U FOR REAL!!! She couldn't even hide her disgust? amazement? bad reaction? from me! She said it was a reaction to the H1N1 vaccine my body went into overdrive fighting off the "fake" virus as the H1N1 vaccine doesn't actually contain the H1N1 virus. I also mentioned my finger and how I hurt it. She was squeezing it,poking it.probing it I wanted to cry it hurt! She said the infection probably started attacking my joints. Even though I asked her how come is it only the one joint in entire body and I happened to just hurt it 2 days earlier??? No to getting an x-ray. Got prescribed 7 different medications. Less then 24 hours later my ear doesn't feel like Dumbo anymore pain is still there but the meds were doing their job. I figured she had to be right about everything finger joint and all!

Dec.7th went back to see my norm Dr. because finger was still sore,swollen,and now crooked. He asked me to go to hospital to get x-ray cause if it was a certain kind of injury I would need emergency surgery! Went to the hospital next day got x-ray found out there is a fracture of the posterior margin of the base of the distal phalanx of the ring finger with approximately 2.0 to 3.0 mm o f the separation of the small fracture fragment. No other abnormality is seen (no other abnormality is seen does this mean I am not crazy?)  
So I sat for 9 hours waiting for the surgeon and had to explain so many times that I broke my finger on Nov. 11th not the day before! I guess they found it hard to believe that I went so long with such a fracture without seeing a Dr. Did I mention I saw a Dr. 2 days after it happened but she thought it was something else.  
Surgeon told me nothing can fix it wear a splint go home.  
Dec.22 say norm Dr. told him having problems where dog bite me and also have large lump turns out to just be a ganglion cyst also explain splint was too tight. He gave me requisite for a new one. Find out only that Anderson House has them in all of Brandon but they can't get me an appt until Dec.30th!! HUH for something that will take less then 5 mins to put on I would have to wait 8 days! Dr sent me to hospital to get a new one! Also explained to me that I need to see another surgeon because I will need surgery on my finger and my wrist but the surgeon that I had waited 9 hours to see in the hospital "doesn't like to do hands" OMG I am thinking the surgeon I saw doesn't do hands so therefore he turned me away and told me it was only cosmetic surgery and it wouldn't improve anything or fix anything!!!  
So I definitely need surgery for finger and wrist most likely early Jan can't put off surgery any later then that!  
So after a very long endless ramble my point is even though I suck up the pain most of the time and don't go to the Dr's on the onset of something. When they do find out the problem they still don't do what they should have! So yes I alone am my own worst enemy.....with some help!
