While I can't offer exactly what you're looking for, I do empathize and feel the need to reach out with resources that have made a difference for me.
My emotions have always been powerful. I never sought out a professional diagnosis (mainly for the reason that I wanted no part of prescription meds), but I did speak to a psych nurse who told me I would be diagnosed as depressed based on what was going on in my life.
I feel like it's taken me several years (and I'm not all the way there), but I absolutely feel relief from the lack of hope and despair, and I credit that improvement to a combination of things and choices.
If you are open to greater possibilities (I know not everyone is), I have had two amazing-feel-it-in-my-soul conversations with Erin Pavlina... the counselling I received through her helped me connect more to my own spiritual side (and I don't mean religious), which in turn has helped me find my way (but I'm open in this way; I realize not everyone is and that's okay).

As a sample, I always share an article she posted that are my "light in times of dark" words:

And if such paths appeal to you, go to YouTube and search for "Abraham Hicks" or get your hands on any of the books by Sanaya Roman ("Living With Joy" was the most uplifting for me).
On the more nitty-gritty side, at the recommendation of a holistic health practitioner, I started taking L-Tyrosine, Vitamin D, and adding mucuna pruriens powder each day to my herbal tea. That also helped.
Lately, I've adopted morning meditations and gratitude journaling... just a series of small shifts, depending on what I was capable of getting myself to do, to help me change my perspective and grab onto some sort of rope of self-care and self-respect.
May you find the light that helps YOU best dissolve the darkness.
Best wishes,
Stacey
