Help I have never had to deal with dry skin. And right now Im covered in dry skin patches all over and its embarrassing. I have never in my 40 plus years used any day/night creams etc. Is my skin now punishing me for this. I have never had a acne issue or any other skin issues. HELP!! Im lost to what I need to use.

I used to use Nivea Body Milk but I find in the summer it's too heavy and greasy. I use Aveeno all year round.  
 
If your skin is red and itchy you may want to get it checked by a doctor for another skin condition such as eczema. Both my sons suffer from eczema and I occasionally have flare-ups myself.  
 
I never use a night cream but I do have a separate moisturizer for my face.

I have used Arbonne's products for 9 years now  
My family has seen great results with their products.  
(I have sold them throughout this time as well)  
The reason I chose to start using this product was because they are extremely safe, they steer away from chemicals, dyes, perfumes, and mineral oils.  
The Products may run a bit higher than your box store brands, but they are highly concentrated and last much longer so your value is there as well as the benefits.  
Definitely worth looking into.  
One of our items in particular has helped my son and I (as well as many of my clients) take control of our eczema and roseacea.

Go and see your doctor, they may put you on a series of topical creams until one works, if not they will send you to a skin specialist.  
I recommend moisturizing as soon as you get out of a hot shower to keep your skin hydrated in the mean time.  
I've tried tons of lotions claiming they'll help extremely dry itchy skin but nothing really worked until I saw a doctor.  

Dry brushing is supposed to help 2-3x weekly before showering!
