Weight Loss groups and apps ... what works for you?

Weight has been a struggle all of my life. I became a member of TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) since 2008 and as often happens with me I had great success at the beginning. My goal was to lose 80 lbs and in the first year I lost 50, but it also happens that I reach a point where it becomes difficult and I start to fluctuate eventually gaining a lot of the weight back. I must give credit to TOPS that it kept me from gaining it all back. A year ago last February I decided it was time to get back on the bandwagon so I went searching for an app which might help. I found Myfitnesspal which was a godsend to me. I set it up to lose one pound a week (I needed to lose 50 to get to goal) and until October last year I averaged 5 lbs a month. That sounds slow but sticking to it I lost 40 lbs, and was 10 pounds to goal. I started to struggle a bit at the beginning of the summer so I bought a Fitbit and managed to keep on track. (It connects right to Myfitnesspal). Then life kicked me in the gut bigtime in October and it has been a struggle since then. I am happy to say that I still just need to get that last 10 pounds off, I still go to TOPS, use Myfitnesspal and Fitbit everyday and just joined a Dietbet game for the month. (I tried that a few years ago and had some money waiting for me which I was going to lose in September so I thought I'd try one more game, which starts tomorrow). I turn 60 in September and I really want to be at my goal weight by then but I feel like I need another boost in the right direction. So I am asking what has helped other people, even just for a little while.
