Mid-late afternoon Environment Canada expanded its Heavy Snowfall Warning area to i:nclude Brandon.  
As it keeps falling and we build toward the 10-15cm thats now forecasted, this thread is a random observations collection from within Brandon and around Westman. I’ll chime in with anything I find out that might be relevant, please feel free to jump in yourself with anything you’ve noticed or are curious about!  
 
Roads within the city are already quite dicey.. I’ll try to post a quick video a little later. Goes without saying that things will be quite messy at wakeup for the drive to work/school.

Bring it on!!!! There are a lot of businesses that rely on the seasonal weather in Manitoba. It sucks to drive in, but it's good for a lot of other things.

I'd say maybe 7-8cm in my driveway so far.

is there a reliable source of highway info in manitoba?  
511 hasn't updated in days, and weathernetwork says #10 is bare and good visibility

Env Canada is saying Brandon had 13.6cm up to midnight last night.  
 
Re highways, lots of updates on 511 just within the last hour or so to start the day. Between snow covered and ice covered Hwy 10 all the way from the US border to RMNP is not looking good until they have a chance to clean up.

Via the city, snow clearing work continues on what are deemed priority routes in the city. Weather permitting it’s expected they’ll progress into residential areas on Thursday.

Once clearing is done they’ll move onto removing excess piles from meridians.  
 
They ask that the public monitor when crews are in their area and where reasonable try to have parked vehicles off of streets

I’m really surprised that highways hasn’t been out and cleared 1st yet....first time in years that I can remember them not having it done ASAP! I’m used to being spoiled LOL
