Closed Highways - weather conditions

Highway No. 1 between Brandon and Portage la Prairie is now closed.
Highway No. 10 north of Brandon is now closed.
Wind chills could reach -50 C during the night.
the other roads are in poor conditions as well.
I live in Douglas. And though the road to Brandon from here along the veteran's way is not closed. The way between Douglas and to the turn will be snow bound for sure. Any wind especially this high will have drifts so high no vehicle will be able to drive through.
Stay home please. Nothing is worth getting killed over including work.
In morning check out the highways again before going anywhere.
Hopefully the rural schools close.
