    Not a good day to be a city garbage bin without a little weight in it!  
     
    ECCC just changed special weather statement to Wind Warning with forecast now calling for gusts up to 90 (I’ve seen as high as 87 so far on the Brandon weather page)

    South of Brandon a few miles and already have 3 trees down in the yard. Wind peeled some shingles off the old barn too. Hoping it calms down soon.

    At least everyone in Winkler will know who’s running in our trustee election. Looks like one candidate might have gone to the effort to drive in signs extra deep. Gotta wonder if they’ll be almost the only one left standing by tomorrow?

    In fairness, looks like another candidate has some quite sturdily anchored signs. Hopefully not too much work for folks to fix once this has passed!  
     
    ECCC Hourly forecast has these 90k gusts through the 5pm hour, then letting up a bit to 60k gusts
