It would make for potentially dangerous road conditions and is something folks traveling will want to keep an eye on.  
 
Possibly the bigger story is that it looks like we’ll narrowly miss out on being part of what could be an historic blizzard in Sask and Alberta with as much as 50cm of snow... yikes!

Going by how dry we are we could sure use the moisture. It ain’t looking pretty for next year and the dug outs , Wells and sloughs are dry.

We don't need freezing rain

Weather statement ended for Brandon with nothing in its place. Forecast does call for risk of some freezing rain late this evening, overnight and into Sunday AM.

We received all of and plus 50 cm of snow 60 miles North of Brandon. Was an unbelievable storm and days to open some roads.  
Hope it all misses us at least freezing rain.

Just drove Oak Lake to Virden. Used wipers entire trip. Car temp was reading zero but lowered to-2.  
 
Expect a demand for tow trucks before the day is out.

I had to walk for 3-4 blocks over huge drifts just to find a spot for the taxi to pick me up and take me to work. No way was I getting out with my vehicle. Aaaaah the memories!!! Sigh!!!

With the weather at home in Brandon we decided to drive into winnipeg today for a specialist appointment Monday. When we left Brandon it was -3 winds to 60k and raining. Upto Portage was slippery with reduced visibility. Its +18 inWinnipeg!
