It’s late March, so it’s about that time  
 
Issued by Environment and Climate Change Canada, a special weather statement calling for the requisite last (hopefully?) gasp of Winter from Monday afternoon into Tuesday. Following Monday PM's spike in temps (Brandon forecast at +14), a rapid drop giving way to snow overnight Monday into Tuesday. Wind gusts as high as 90 in Southwest MB, snowfall amounts likely in the 2-4cm range perhaps starting as rain in some areas before transitioning to white stuff:  https://weather.gc.ca/warnings/report_e.html?mb7

Still >> 90% white, but decent streak of dark starting across the top of the one rummaging our neighbourhood yesterday.  
No matter what happens on Mon/Tues, what a strangely short winter other than about three weeks of the bad cold. That was only Dec 9 when that pic was taken of all the mostly white rabbits standing out like a sore thumb in a greenish field. Taking kiddo out to the park in January and February without 18 layers was a nice change.  
But Shhh... don’t tell people bidding up the real estate in larger centres or we might be next

Brandon hourly forecast has snow starting by the 10pm hour. Biggest of the wind (70 with gusts to 90) starts around the 1am hour. Actual overnight snowfall now showing at 2cm with more light snow on Tues.
