Severe thunderstorm overnight Thursday
6/10/2021 at 10:48 PM
Looks like we might be in for our first real storm of the season..... Just issued by Environment Canada for Brandon and area, a severe thunderstorm warning for a system currently to the West said to be capable of producing very strong wind gusts, up to nickel-sized hail and heavy rain.
The same storm has been warned for Virden, Oak Lake and other points West with appearing to be just approaching Virden right now. These things of course change by the minute but based on moving 60 km/hr Brandon would be looking at seeing the system closer to midnight in whatever form its in. Being a warning, it means that Env Canada has seen enough to say that severe weather is imminent or occuring.
