We left Brandon at 5 to Winnipeg. It was starting to snow and about 40 km of road was not good. Then road mostly was in good condition, with some small icy sections. I am not sure how it is now, as you know, weather in Manitoba can change in seconds (lol)

Just got back - blowing snow from Portage to Brandon. The passing lane had pretty thick snow so not many were passing - Traffic flow was 80km/h.

Has anyone been on the roads this morning? Any help is appreciated!

Left Brandon at 10:30 and the worst part was up until the Shilo turnoff. Super slippery and vehicles in the ditch. After that driving lane fine, passing lane pretty good. Biggest issue is how wet they are. Wipers have been on the whole way and can't hardly see with semis.

...has to be taken with a grain of salt, or a flake of snow, as it were.  
 
In some areas we're lucky to get one report per day. If you're checking in the evening, the road report could be from 12 hours ago, or more. (There's even a disclaimer on their website that conditions are not regularly monitored.)  
 
 
Bottom line: People shouldn't be afraid to ask around on here for road conditions. You're going to get a much more accurate report. That's the upside of community websites - we all help each other out.

Probably a lot better than yesterday.

I've been checking the highways site but i find it's not updated that often... was hoping someone had driven to the city today already

Lori 1W was fine. Just a bit of snow snaking across the highway. Visibility was fine.

Edina Basically bare, Just ground drifting and some icy patches so far. We're almost to Elie.

Edina A little icier from St Francis Xavier to Heading, but still just ground drifting. Visibility dropped a little.
