So I'm still using an old I Phone 4, and have had problems with my charger. Bought one at walmart quite a while back but it has given up the ghost and they seem more concerned about a new phone than stocking chargers for existing phones.  
It would be much appreciated if I could get any suggestions on who handles chargers for these (antique) phones.

Those old 4s I think used the 30 pin charger. Should be able to find them anywhere. Gas stations, Bestbuy, Winners, Amazon, eBay, lost and found boxes. I just opened my junk draw and found 3 of them. But really they're everywhere Don.

Thanks, the fellow at walmart was trying to get me into the modern world, showed me where the chargers were supposed to be, but no chargers. I know family members have a few but I'm thinking when someone has a few does it mean that they bought more because they were failing.  
Did have a suggestion of one gas station in Brandon up along the trans Canada.  
Guess at times my patience runs short when something that still works fine, is supposibly outdated and needs replaced.

Don do you mean you need the cable or the charging Cube? The Cube is used for all iPhones An iPads the 30 pin cable is used for iPhone 4 and the old iPhone 3 there is nothing wrong with keeping that iPhone 4 going there is still lots of them out there

Yup it's the charger cube that seem to be the problem, have numerous cables and all seem to work, phone charges quickly using the power unit in the truck but my remaining charger in the house needs to be replaced.  
Thanks for the information that apple products use the same charging cube.  
My phone sometimes sees fairly dirty conditions and I wonder if the pins in the charging port get dirty enough to affect the connection.

If you are talking of "Highway Esso" on the North Hill, they have lots of stuff.

If your stuck you could also charge off your computer with your 30 pin cable An the USB port

Just about every gas station you stop at will have the cube for the wall plug.

think you found the problem but any cube will work, of course apple wants you to buy theirs but we use any one , also those phones are disappearing but you can get that type of cable at dollarrama but with anything wired they do break a lot, haven't had a phone cord yet that outlasted the phone lol dirt and stuff can be hard on them too but if you do need another cord, i still have in the junk drawer i could get to you

Thanks for all the information, tips, hints, and even the offers of chargers and cords.  
The one suggestion of cleaning the port for the cord did yield results of two small crushed canola seeds, used one of those plastic dental picks to see if there was anything in it.  
With all the things suggested it just goes to prove that on any given day you can always learn something new.
