1/27/2009 at 10:31 AM
Per the article below, MTS is recalling 13,000 LG 150 model phones as a result of that model losing its "Radio Standards Specifications 102 (RSS 102), Radio Frequency Exposure Compliance of Radiocommunication Apparatus."
From the article..
"MTS has been advised that Health Canada is of the opinion, based on the review of test results and its assessment of current science, that the past and current use of the LG 150 should not pose immediate or long-term health concerns. "
Per the article, if you've purchased that phone all you have to do is take it to an MTS Connect store and they will swap with a replacement at no charge. It's a voluntary recall, so if the health warning doesn't concern you you don't have to return it.
If anyone has one of these phones, please keep us updated on your thoughts on the exchange process.
