Hey everyone, I am thinking about installing an alarm system in my home. Nothing fancy...just basic monitoring (I think) not sure what is out there or the going rate. Do you have one? Where did you go? What rate do you pay? What does it cover? I know nothing so any information you can supply will be appreciated. (not looking to do a pretend system to try to scare people off...I think I want the real deal) Thanks in advance for all information/suggestions.

We use ProTelec with basic fire and motion at a monitoring cost of about $25/mo. This is for a business. Cannot recall what the initial cost to install was, if there was one.
