I'm looking for a new stylist but I want someone with experience handling different hair issues. I have thin, medium-curly hair that needs a good cut and some TLC. I don't want someone who is simply going to push whatever products they are selling. I'm looking for someone who truly knows what they are doing. Recommendations?

Beverley at Black Orchid salon will have a free consultation with you.
She will ask you questions about what you want and be realistic in what is possible given the state your hair is in, its texture, etc. She will also tell you up front how much your service will be. I’ve been going to her for 10 years after being in the same predicament you are in. Call her.

Erin Wannop at Bodicures. She is really good with curly hair and talked to me about what I was doing with my hair and what would work better. She also has curly hair so she gets it!

I just went there for the first time, and I think she is amazing. She certainly seems to know what she is talking about. She does advertise the products she sells, but only because she truly believes in them and know what is good for your hair. I will definitely go back.
