This week's flyer roundup
2/4/2009 at 11:01 PM
With the new shopping section, something I'd like to try out is a flyer roundup for the week. Basically what I'll do is start by going through Wednesday's flyers and post what I think are some of the bigger deals at each of the retailers. As any other flyers come out throughout the week, their major deals would be added by myself or others.
Since some things interest me personally more than others, please share any deals that might be interesting to you or others... or feel free to comment on which deals already mentioned are ones you'll be looking at.
The end result being all of the hotter local deals in one place.
So here goes.... See each eFlyer for specifics.
Canadian Tire
- Nextar GPS @ half price (Reg $299.99 on for $149.99)
- Various Black & Decker "KitchenTools" (coffee maker, convection oven, blender)... all @ 50% off
Staples
- 100 spindle of writable DVDs.. $28.96 (reg $53.96)
- HP photo printer. Reg $129.91, on sale for $69.91
Visions
- Samsung 40" HDTV (only 720p though) plus surround sound for $998 ($400 off)
The Brick
- Samsung Blu Ray player for $249.95. Might be the cheapeast I've seen a name brand Blu ray player at? The Brick is all over Blu Ray, giving away a free player on Serta matresses as well.
Sears
- Folding treadmills @ 50% off ($599.99)
Shoppers Drug Mart
- big thing is their Valentines push.. 20x the Optimum points on $75 or more buys of cosmetics/fragrances
Future Shop
- big push is on a package of a 50" (only 720p though) Panasonic HDTV pls Home theatre system for $1299.99.
Zellers
- push is on Valentines items. 50% of all 10kt and 14kt gold jewellery! Also a ton of valentine chocolate marked down.
Giant Tiger
- the one that'll probably get me doing a quantity buy is Kellogg's cereals... reg $2.97-4.96 on for $1.97.
If this is something you'd like to see regularly, please chip in with your thoughts on these or other flyer-advertised deals. IMO this type of thing has a lot of potential to be a great resource for local shoppers.. but only if we get a variety of people chipping in!
