Host a party or order?

I am just wondering here.
For those companys like Kidsmart, Mary Kay, Pamper Chef etc...
Do you prefer to host a party, or just order from their catalogue? Seems when you host parties you get better deals, but I guess some people just don't like tryint to set dates for parties? I am just curious what others like to do, and why.
