What would be the cheapest method to send 4 winter tires out to Salmon Arm BC? Is anyone heading that way with a truck ? Would come up with a fair price.

I hope you find someone to take them out to B.C. for you, because it would be cheaper to buy tires out there than to ship by a common carrier.

Have you tried Greyhound I sent a few large things with them and found them very reasonable.

check around but i think mcginty might be correct about the costs involved, another option would be to sell the tires here and etransfer the cash to help buy new ones there

or you might be lucky enough to find someone to bring them out for you but since that would be a pain im not sure anyone would do it for cheap enough

At the end of the day it'll be cheaper over all to just buy em out there...Loomis Express would be the cheapest way, or Greyhound...but they're likely going to be around $150-$200 for 4 tires. I own a courier company and I've handled everything from UPS down to Loomis...something that big, heavy over that distance isn't going to be cheap.

Bus won't be much cheaper but other than those 2 the rates would be much higher. Maybe you'll find the nice person who feels like lugging 4 tires with them on their trip but I don't imagine I'd be doing it for very "cheap". (But I also have delivered sooooo many tires in my time I have a personal bias)
