I don't imagine this'll last long based on the chaos in front of the store, but FYI Superstore has a selection of annuals and perennials in front of the store marked as "free"....

They decided to give them away instead of throwing them away like last year...I remember the thread on here, so ebrandon hopefully changed their mind

All gone now. Gotta love SS's seasonal blowouts.

I'm liking Superstore more each day!

I like when a store decides to give away (or at least drastically reduce prices) rather that throw out and to be honest I tend to buy my plants at places (both greenhouses and at stores) that will do this or donate to someplace like a pch.  
 
I should have asked at the time but one day a couple of weeks ago I was in the Walmart greenhouse and everything was being thrown into those big wheelie bins ... I am assuming they were being thrown out (I am hoping someone will tell me different). Most of these were healthy plants from what I could see. This means I will probably be buying most of my plants from other stores next year.

It bugs me when these big stores do this, and everyone wonders why the small independent places like Patmore's can't stay open. They will do stuff like this just to keep the competition away. Also bugs me when people won't pay for the flowers in the first place, but when they are free they would plow over their own grandmothers to get one!
