When you have issues with your device and have that 2 year warranty with Best Buy, you bring it to them and they deal straight with that company (in this case Fitbit) , so really yes it's kinda silly how you pay 50$ when you already have 1 year, but 50$ for an extra year isn't too bad, expecially considering you won't have to do any of the hassle of sending stuff away , or anything, as their customer service does it. That being said , I've never bought extended warranty lol
