is how far from the property line? Is it just the 9 ft the width of the driveway? The average small car is 15 to 17 ft long. And remember about backing out of the garage also. (Without clipping off a mirror or scraping a fender.) HAHA " |

They can give you the guidelines to work with even before you start drawing up the garage plans. 60' between the house and rear property line is a lot of real estate so no problems there. I had to have 4' from the wall of my garage to the side property line. I don't remember exactly how much seperation I needed between the house and garage, but I have approx 12 feet. Fire regs also have some input, but again city planners should help. Again, with 60' of real estate you shouldn't have any issues unless there are other issues to deal with on the property: the wife's flower garden for instance.
Good luck with your project.
