    Building deck/fence composite or wood

    It's still a ways away but considering building a fence and re-do my deck to fit a hot tub. Is it cheaper to go with composite material, now that prices of wood are high?

    I have been pricing both for quite awhile. Wood is still cheaper unless you go with a real cheap composite.

    Composite is about double the price of a treated deck, last year was around triple the price.  
    Cheap composite also doesnt last an will look terrible in no time, stick with a good brand like; trex, decorators, wolf, azeck.  
    Trex is more common around here.

    The cheaper the price the more likely it will fade out or bleach out within 2 summers. Also the cheaper the composite the faster it will become brittle and start breaking up from the UV light from the sun
