We have one in our 1600sq.ft house. Our fan runs 24/7 and temperature year round is at 23. Which we find very good for heat control. We also have auxillary heat, which kicks in when we have those -30C nights.
A/C is excellent and super cheap.
I know nowadays that furnances are very efficient and monthly cost vs geothermal in winter is minimal esepcially new homes.
However, A/C alone... geo kicks ass vs traditional.
Not sure how old your unit is.. but maybe the liquid in the loops need to be checked ?
