Hydro Seeding

Has anyone tried the gadget off TV for hydro seeding their lawns? I saw Canadian Tire was selling the refills, they never had the applicator when I was in the store.
I am wondering if people are finding success with it? was it worth the money? Anyone know a company that does this that would come to Virden area?
