So.... we renovated the bathroom which included replacing an ancient bath tub. However in spite of picking something with a bit of a texture I'm still finding it slippery. I'm even contemplating getting those tub decals things to put on the bottom. Only trouble is I don't know where off the top of my head I saw them. But perhaps you do? Or any other suggests on how to rectify my problem would appreciated too!!

I don't know if they have decals, but they've got the mata that suction to the bottom of the tub, which are great when it comes time to clean it!!

Wal-Mart has the tub grippers that you stick on the bottom. They are over in the same area as the towels.

I would recommend a rubber tub mat rather than the stick on decals. The decals are harder to keep clean and can get dingy overtime. With a tub mat, you can easily remove, clean, or replace as required.  
 
I have seen decals at Dollarama and Dollar Tree if that is the route you choose to go.

We had a company from Winnipeg come out and do some warranty work on our tub many years ago. Shy of taking out my wall and replacing the whole tub I agreed on having the bottom painted. They guy put down this thick rubbery textured paint that has lasted years now. I want to redo it as it is finally taking it's time. Anyone hear of this? It would be similar to having those grippy stickers on the tub but only large and permanent.

Rubber mats stick very poorly to textured tub bottoms and can be more of a hazard. I would suggest adhesive textured strips (like sandpaper). Harder to clean but your safest bet. You can get them at medical supply stores.

I believe I saw at Stewart's the paint coating stuff there once. I am not 100% sure on that tho. Give them a quick call and ask.
