There is a black circle on my white glass top stove. Somebody else has caused it and it could be happened while a go maybe few months ago. So I do not know exactly what kind of food was overflew and burnt. What product does work best in that situation? Any experience other than commercial glass stove top cleaner?  
And if commercial glass top cleaner are only solution, what is the most effective one?

I have owned a glass top stove for 7 years and have only ever used 3 things to clean it. Regular cleaning - soapy cloth. Burnt or stuck on food - metal scraper blade. A few years ago I discovered something made by Vileda called a glass/ceramic scrunge. It's a sponge with a soft pad attached on one side and the other side has some kind of gritty scrubbing pad on it. This thing is wonderful and removes all traces of burnt on food. You can find them in the cleaning area of Walmart and they come in a box of four.  
 
This being said, I have a black stove and I have read that with the white tops there can be some discolouring that can never be removed.

Cerama Bryte ceramic cooktop cleaner. I also use this with a small bladed paint scraper. Although I too have a black top, but 8 years later and it still looks like new.

I also agree, Our stove is 5 years old and still looks new.

I have also had good luck with a baking soda and water paste rubbed with a dampened cloth

I love love love Norwex's cleaning paste and use it with their spirinette scrubbers. It goes such a long way and has natural ingredients. I use it for all sorts of things.

Vim works great. Buy it at any store

I agree ! Cerama Bryte & a nylon netting " scrubbing ". They sell them at craft sales... I used to sell for &2. each but now I don't bother selling but make for family & friends...I can spare a couple if you want them..lol

Hydrogen peroxide and baking soda, let it sit for a bit on soiled area and then scrubber sponge. Worked like a charm for me.

For recent issues usually just leave a wet dishcloth on top for a bit, then scrub clean.  
 
For older stains either cerama brite or Mr Clean Magic eraser

Vim is not ground fine enough for ceran top cleaning. Use a commercial cleaner they are less than five bucks a bottle! Vim can permanently damage your top. That being said, so can using a top when it is left dirty. White tops are especially prone to surface damage and permanent discolorization.  

I heard mr clean erase pads will take the paint off walls so try that

Spray with soapy water, use ridged back straight razor on an angle to remove most of it. (Carefully). Then ceramibrite to polish out the rest. Ours is a white top. Not a scratch. Done it for years.  
 

I second the scrunge they work great.

Our stove had "permenent stains" from the previous owners that I had tried to clean many times (I have ocd about cleaning, believe me). It drove me nuts. I tried cerama bright, vim, scrounge, comet, green scrubbing pads, vinegar and baking soda.  
Nothing would get it clean. Then one day while doing some internet searching how the get soap scum from our glass shows doors I came across reviews from bar keepers Friend. Bought it for the shower, worked amazing.  
 
Tried it on the stove (I have the kitchen and bath spray). Sprayed it on, left it for 1 minute and wiped off those "permenent stains" with a sponge!!! I did use a scrubby pad lightly on a couple of the worse areas.  
 
That stuff is a miracle product!

I just use water daily on it, then dry it with a soft cloth. If my husband has been cooking, I use a razor blade to get the burnt stuff off. I rarely have to use ceramabryte or any other cleaner.

Use's plain vinegar and water! This also works well as a glass cleaner also! I use it myself on my glass-top stove and windows and LOVE IT!
