Hello Everyone!  
I'm not sure if we'll even need it, but I wanted to get some advice/tips now while there's still time.  
So I'm 4 months pregnant right now, am going on mat leave for a year, and then (pending how things turn out) may need part-time daycare over the summer months. However, when I say part-time, I mean I work 4 day rotations, so would only need 2-4 days per week, and that i:ncludes some weekends.  
For those that work shift work, is there such a daycare in Brandon? Would a drop-off daycare be better? Would a babysitter be better? From what I've been reading, I don't know what shift workers do in these situations. All advice/help is welcome. Thoughts?

I’m a provider and my suggestion would be to consider a nanny. With those hours and days, a nanny or a babysitter is probably going to be your best option.  
 
Daycare centres can take awhile to get in to (but definitely call around and ask to be put on the list!) and because home daycares are limited to ratios, many of us don’t/can’t accept part time/casual clients due to financial reasons so a home daycare may be impossible to find (but could happen!) There are listings ok eBrandon and FB for home daycares

Daycare centres are probably out because they are Monday to Friday and will expect you to pay for a full time spot.

I agree with Sammy. Nanny is likely your best bet as most daycares and centres are Monday to Friday. Place your own ad on ebrandon and Facebook as well. You might find a home daycare who works different hours.
