speaking of back to school here is a new epidemic you can start

when my son started grade 1 by october he was sick of sandwiches. the school had one or two common microwaves for "warm ups" and the lines were long. i donated a microwave i was needing to grade one and the class was then able to benefit from healthier lunches, leftovers and warm lunches. when he moved onto grade two, the microwave moved with him, and then grade one couldnt live without one, so another parent donated one...it soon began an epidemic by grade 7 every class had at least one.
i dont know about brandon schools, as our kids have to stay for lunch no choice, but for those parents that are in this same dilema with picky eaters, or kids that have an adversion to sandwhiches, or just working moms, who can easily make up a lunch plate the night before, its a timesavor and gives you way more options for lunches.
we have done the same thing for other things in our school like fridges etc, wher each class has some fun fundraising events in the school and community to buy such items.
it helps the school, makes life easier for us parents and gives the kids some healthier choices.....lets face it, in a school year, thats a crapload of sandwhiches. money is tight these days...every bit helps.
feel free to share any creative lunch ideas for the back to school lunch dilema
