    I am wondering if there are any art classes for my 8 year old daughter in Brandon? I looked on the art gallery site and they only offer a couple 2 hour courses. Wondering if there are any other places that offer these types of courses?

    Try Funtime Pottery. Milly and her staff are wonderful and they often have one-day/2-hour workshops for different ages. It's mostly painting ceramics, but they also sometimes do clay and canvas.  
     
    My house is full of treasures we've done there over the years, mostly via the homeschooling art classes she ran when we homeschooled.

    Art gallery does offer after school classes but your daughter may not be in the right age group.  
     
    For younger age we went to Michael's, often had events on weekend  
    Home Depot used to have things on weekends as well  
    Funtime Pottery  
    Some private paint evening type classes do offer children's events

    The ymca has art classes after school. You’ll have to check the sign up as the classes may be full but they have tons of after school programs for kids. All the classes are free with a membership
